Proudly Supported by Innovative Businesses

We are an elite race team on the rise and our year on year growth has certainly elevated the status of the team. But without sponsorship, none of this would have been possible. Given our big goals for this season, we are extremely grateful for the continued support from our founding sponsors but also new sponsors too.

The Cinelli Superstar

The Cinelli Superstar is a weapon of a race bike and we are thrilled to have the support of Cinelli this season. Italian heritage mixed with innovative frame design has delivered an exceptional race bike. The team riders have been impressed by the frame weight, handling and stiffness. Custom builds are available through our technical sponsors Push Cartel

Year One: Ambition fuels success

Flash back to August 2017, team owner Matt Hallam had the vision of creating a new North West based elite race team. At that time, we had no sponsors, no images, no riders and no results. What we lacked in material team possessions we made up for in drive, experience and contacts; turning an ambitious idea into a reality.

Within 3 months we pulled in enough support to sustain a team for a year, no easy feat. The goal for the first year was to successfully establish the team on a regional and national level in the UK. We finished as the number 1 regional ranked team in 2018 and inside the top 5% of UK race teams on the British Cycling national team rankings. With appearances at the 2018 OVO Energy Tour Series and 4 Premier Calendars we jumped in at the deep end.

These races provided a valuable lesson, as a team we learnt a huge amount and the riders took these experiences into the 2019 season.

Year Two: Elite Status Cemented

Our inspiring story continued to build throughout our second year of racing. After a successful 2018 we were spurred on to find more investment. Through the support of founding sponsors we were able to more than double our 2018 budget which allowed us to invest in an ambitious programme of racing for both the men’s and women’s team.

We were active in 7 of the National Road Series races, sending a full squad of 8 riders and team car for support.

“Our goal this season was to step up. It’s been hard graft and a very steep learning curve, but we’re committed to doing what we set out to do, which is to turn up to the UK’s biggest races and pitch ourselves against full-time professionals. For us, it’s still about providing opportunities for riders in the North West, which was the founding motivation. It’s amazing to be able to do that, to do it well and to provide them with the support they need,” Matt Hallam.

The team competed in some of the biggest domestic races in the UK and had success in Europe too with 16 race wins as well as numerous podiums. We have now established the team has one of the brightest new elite cycling teams in the UK. Ambition has been built into the foundations on the team from day one and our sponsors have fully backed the vision for the team. Our infrastructure, riders and supportive sponsors are making heads turn on the UK domestic scene.

Year Three: A Clear Vision

We are now entering our 3rd year and 2020 marks a pivotal year for the team. We have restructured both the men’s and women’s squad around an ambitious programme of racing in the UK and Europe. We have also welcomed new sponsors into the team with Porsche, Bishops, Cinelli and Giro, 90% of our founding sponsors have also committed to a 3rd year of support.

Orientation Marketing will also continue as the title sponsor for a 3rd year as well as increased support from Brother U.K. and ANS. We worked hard to increase the investment levels with a 45% growth on year 2. The battle for sponsorship is as intense as any duel on the road and represents another area in which our standards are of critical value. The teams sponsors have been quick to recognise the value of a smart, courageous and friendly squad, prepared to mix it with more established teams and extend the hand of friendship to spectators.

The team is growing at an impressive rate but with increased investment comes pressure to perform in the bigger domestic races in the UK. We set out with specific goals when recruiting riders for 2020. Having riders who are experienced in the National road and circuit series was important, we have been able to bring talented riders into the team that should be at the pointy end of these races. The men’s squad consists of 14 riders whilst the women’s team has 6 riders. Alongside a lot of fresh faces, we have still retained a core group of riders who were part of the founding squads in 2018. We are thrilled to be able to support 20 riders this season. Our founding vision of being a pillar of support in the Northern racing scene is being realised. Our 2020 race season will kick off in style with our own road race on the 22nd of March.
